I am not a breeder but an obedience person. I got into German Shepherds in 1976 and enjoy them a lot. I currently own 4 and having problem with hip dysplasia pain.I have two older males with bad hips and one of them is having quite a bit of difficulty. He is only 8 and is taking 20 mgs. of pred every other day. I am considering putting him on glycoflex or another less dangerous medication. Has anyone had any experience with this? Any other suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks for any help Lynne
