Chat Help

Sign-in Page:

1. You must enter your name and a password into the boxes provided. You may use an alias name and any password you want.
2. E-mail address: If you enter in your e-mail address you will be able to receive e-mail. While you are on-line, anybody can mail you be clicking on your name. Be aware, that these may be unwanted messages! If you do not put your real e-mail address, or if you leave the box blank, you will not risk receiving unwanted e-mail.
3. Pressing on yellow buttons or highlighted text will cause action. The button describes the action that pressing it will cause.

Main Chat Page:

2. The second box is the Chat Action Box. The four yellow buttons on the left are the main actions: Post; Refresh; 1 to 1; and Exit.
......A. POST: Press post to send the message that you typed in your message box.
......B. REFRESH: Press this to see the latest messages sent.
......C. 1 to 1: Press this to send a message that only the person you select will be able to read.
......D. Press this when the dog scratches on the door!
Your message box (dark blue) is where you type the message that you want to send. You must then press POST to send the message.
The numbers on the right are the number of messages that you want displayed when you press REFRESH.

3. The box on the lower left first displays the People who are On-line. You may send e-mail to then by clicking on their name (if it is highlighted). The second half of the box displays the available rooms to chat in. To change rooms you simply select a public room by highlighting it, or type in the name of the privet room that you would like to enter. You must then press on the CHANGE ROOM button to go there. Any room name will work for a privet room. The room is created when you type in the name, and anybody typing in the same name will be in that room.

4. The box in the lower right corner is the message log. The most recent comments go to the top of the list.
